The scenic beauty of this walk has earned its incredible reputation. We can provide you with all the information you need and book your transport if desired. We will provide you with an early breakfast before the Tongariro Alpine Crossing bus picks you up right outside the front door.

Skiing
Whakapapa has a Happy Valley learning facility with gentle slopes and a beginners chairlift. For the more confident there are 50 groomed runs, huge snowfilled basins, steep chutes and secret powder stashes. For free skiers and snowboarders full time terrain parks and extensive lift accessed back country skiing.
