Rooms And Facilities At Founders

Founders Turangi is a new purpose built, smoke-free lodge with accommodation for eight people in four double bedrooms. Three bedrooms have queen size beds and one has two king singles. The bedrooms open onto the veranda which surrounds two thirds of our New Zealand Colonial style villa. The whole lodge has under floor heating throughout.

Bedrooms
All of the rooms at Founders Bed and Breakfast lodge have en suite bathrooms, with shower, heated towel rails, hairdryers, with a quality range of New Zealand toiletries, and under-floor heating. Large fluffy towels and soft robes for perfect comfort.

All beds have woolen underlay's, electric blankets, cotton bed linen, cotton blankets, and soft warm duvets. Our rooms have excellent reading lamps and an interesting selection of magazines to enjoy.

The Lounge
A great place to gather and chat about the day's activities over drinks and nibbles, with the log fire adding to the warm relaxing ambiance.

The TV Lounge Library
Relax with a book, or catch up with the world news.

The Kitchen Dining Room
Warm and sunny, and opens onto the deck and a private outdoor living area. It's a great place to sit on a sunny afternoon or a warm summer evening.

Our home is your home while you stay with us and we hope you will feel relaxed and comfortable. We enjoy being able to spoil you

Breakfast
Served in the dining room at a time to suit you. It includes fruit juices, fresh fruit, homemade muesli, yogurts, fresh baked bread, local honey and jam and a choice of cooked dishes. We have a wonderful variety of coffee including Decaf and teas, including herbal to ensure a great start to your day.

Garden
Relax in our garden and enjoy the native birds who visit, Piwakawaka --- fantail, Tui, Kereru --- wood pigeon, Morepork --- our native owl, and lots of others endemic and exotic. They make themselves very much at home among the native trees on our property. The Whio, our endangered blue duck can be seen on the Tongariro River

We are very pleased to have gained a reputation for relaxed hospitality and certainly believe that this is the most important ingredient in the bed and breakfast mix.
